I know I've got another thread about buying a tracker, but I have just had an email off the garage (an independant) saying he thinks all STi's have trackers fitted.........as I asked if it had one, as I need one for insurance purposes.

I hope it does, but is there any way I can check this? It's a 2003 model.

If it's uk it will have a RAC Trackstar.

call them on 08081009991 with the cars details and they can do a test to make sure its working and get your account set up

I havent got the car yet, but having the reg number, and model etc should be ok shouldnt it? Or is there something else?

I just called with the reg number, they asked if the car was outside etc and done a test while I was over the phone.

They sent the form out in the post a few days later with Direct Debit instructions.

They need a copy of the V5 or even the new buyers suppliment (green part of v5) in order to renew the subscrition.

Mine took roughly 5 days to become active.

Is it only the STI's or do the WRX's have tracker as well?

 

I think it's just STi's.

99.9% certain.

 

Damn, would have been quite cool if it was the WRX's as well, would have helped with the insurance a little, and given a bit more security.

 

Had to pay for the tracker to be fitted to my wrx. sorry chap.
