Hi buddy, the car is smoking really badly,(white smoke) from the exhaust when rev/d up,and just wanted to know why he got rid?,the car does drive and feel really nice but it shunt be smoking like it is,apparently he had some problems with cold start and had the map tweaked at a rolling road day @ surrey rolling road?,i have heard some bad things about them,so was hoping it may be a simple thing like too much fuel on the map,or even the turbo may be damaged due to the antilag ?,the guy at the garage is willing to get it looked at and adjust the price accordingly, but just dont wanna fall on this if it is something more serious.
cheers pete.

The last owner was Scott ( Abrisag ) from Surreyscoobies and all ways looked after the car very well, gutted hes sold it to tell the truth

JGM remapped it i think so you could pm him about it, it wasnt smoking on our way to the Mcrae gathering and i drove all the way with him, the white smoke sounds like the turbo has blown the seals as over fuelling is normally black isnt it

White smoke/steam is coolant,antifreeze water

Black is over fueling

Blue mixed white is oil

Sounds to me the water is getting in the bores some how! Possible gasket on it's way out or a cracked head etc... ??

Of course i maybe wrong and maybe something really simple.

Good luck!

nice motor, shame thats happening after on 19,000 miles. That place in Keighley has a really bad rep, surely not all the cars are bad, they'd have to go out of their way just to find dodgy cars!

No such model as a Spec C RA V-Ltd. It's either a Spec C Type-RA or it's a Spec C V-Ltd. Unfortunately, I don't think it's neither of those either. There are no Toshi Arai badges in the places where they should be if it was a V-Ltd and the Nurburgring decals on the doors are wrong as is the centre console if it was a Spec C Type-RA. I think it's just a standard Spec C.

RA would not have bigger brakes. The RA-R was the only Spec C based model to have different brakes from the factory. Type-RA also has air con.

Defo not a RA or V-LIMITED, it,s a Spec C like mine, but as for the smoke, if you say it,s a tad light blue, sounds like a turbo issue to...

I wouldn't buy a mars bar from a vending machine at keighley, never mind a car.

It's fairly obvious that the car in question here has had a decent previous owner who was a Subaru enthusiast: But who knows how many 16 yr old asian kids have been booting it up the duel carriageway next to keighley.

That's not me being racist; it's more like the truth.
