My trusty wagon is getting old and unfortunately the Subaru head unit (with the tape and CD changer pre 2000) is going a bit ga ga and the volume control has a life of its own.
I suspect too much coffee has been spilt on it over the years thanks to the cupholder being above it.
So, as Subaru will probably want several million quid for a classic head unit does anyone have any ideas on either how to fix it, or where to get another one that will work with the autochanger?
Thanks

To fix, take it apart and clean connections on the faceplate.
Personally I wouldn't bother, but if you must replace, check ebay.
Tonne's of people would be selling them as they can upgrade to either a single DIN headunit, with an extra pocket to fill the gap, or you can get double DIN touch screen/DVD/GPS for the price of a good head unit.

NSLD,
I've upgraded my newage head unit recently. Worked perfectly and will drive a changer.
IF it will fit yours I would be happy to come to some agreement with you. Don't know if it will fit though!!
Dave.
