Default Bad day out at santa pod

went out for the day on sunday with some buddies that came all the way from brummie land it was pourin of rain and very cold nearly everything had shut down so we thought wed all go for a drink at a local pub

to cut a long story short me mate dave went onto the grass and had a skid about, well he got collered and was told to f**k of ( nice ) they then followed him 2 cars and a range rover and boxed him in , the t**t in front thought it would be funny to pull his handbrake on

this is the damage they did as t**t had a towbar on his car and he was on L plates all he did was laugh in daves face then they tried to say he was speeding but with 5 people who all saw what happened there was no way he could have

all they had to do was ask him nicely to leave and he would have there was no need for them to do what they did

So was this the car park at santa pod or some grassy area at a local pub?

If the pub then at least you've come away with a driveable car and your life to get home with.
Pub locals can get very protective, plus villages around Poddington get VERY fed up with the stupid behaviour of some muppets going to SP.

20 years ago at the VW bug jams- I've sent ford escorts turned on their roofs for

(a) being a ford

(b) drivers being noobs

(c) being a ford.

sounds like the fool got what he deserved. How come I've had 20 yrs of watching drag racing and never had my car/van damaged at all these events, or any run in with locals ?

Sounds like it all got totally out of hand. I suspect some 'words' were exchanged then it spilled over onto the road. How many fatal accidents have started this way ?

They should not have done what they did, but neither should have you or your mate.

Just be thankful no one was hurt.

I concur

Sounds like he was fooling about on somebodies private land an they took offence to that. They're within their rights to get your mate to go away though. Perhaps they might not have need to be so heavy handed but then if you mate was getting all aggravated about it then perhaps they did. Anyway it seems like he was giving us Scooby drivers a bad name so got his comeuppance

I agree too. Only an idiot would go for a "skid about" on private land then complain about the consequences.

I don't really understand posts 1,3 and 4 due to the poor English either.

Sounds like you gave it the big I am and the other person thought f**k you and smashed you up! IMHO i would of done the same!

We had someone like you who gate crashed 1 of my old man's farm fields and my brother blocked them in until the police came and they got some serious point's on there license and a section 51. The best bit about it all was all the "skid drift" marks on the field leading back to there car and them saying they pulled over for a wee! ha ha

Also you have deff come to the wrong place looking for a shoulder to cry on! fpmsl

Perhaps if you re wrote the whole story in FULL so everyone understands all the details that may help!

Ps. Your paint work looks flat as ****!

ok well for all those that seem to have trouble with English the car in the crash was in 40 acre field that had bin in use all weekend in poring rain so it was at least 3 inches deep in mud he went in the field to pull out a friend that got stuck in the mud while pulling him out the rope snapped he shot forward and the bk end slid out no problem then security turn up give him a mouth full then while being driven of cite the learner driver pulled on his hand brake i saw this all happen i was 3 cars behind them the security were not interested in anything he had to say was totally out of order.

ps there were no other people in the field so dont be so fast to judge

ok messing about on private land is one thing but the crash happened on a road open to public the subaru driver was not at fault the l driver who bye the way was on his own caused the accident

So we've gone from a "skid about" on a field to just recovering a car that got stuck on a field?

Your stuck mate should have got the Range Rover with the towbar to pull him out

One minute its "me mate dave went onto the grass and had a skid about" and the next story is "to pull out a friend that got stuck in the mud".
There's a big big difference if sympathy is being sought over what has happened

So was this 40 acre field at the Pod or somewhere else?

Sorry I call bollx on this, if you yank the handbrake up on a car it slows at a much lesser rate than if you use your foot brake. How can he have gone up the back of someone?

Why was he that close to a car?

If you hit someone up the *** you are to close and is your fault! FULL STOP!!!!

This is why when you have driving lessons they tell you that your must keep your distance and the 2 second rule!!!

Anyways you can repair the car for less than £120 easy!
