Default Engine broken

Hi there,
I´m Patrick and come from Austria and i have some big problems with my good old 1996 Scooby.

This Summer i have blown my 88000km EJ20 Engine, because suddenly the engine won´t start, after a while i managed to get it started but it makes some strange noise and one secound later a big hole was in my crankcase.....

The Scooby is my all day drive and i spend lot of money in it (cusco D1 cage, Power FC, HKS Intercooler, HKS Oilcooler, Cusco Struts, TEIN Mono Flex and lot more...).
After that i used my heavy modified R32 GTR and my heavy modified FD3s as all day drives. (both have no interior and just one seat...)

Two Weeks ago i get my new rebuildet engine from england, i was very happy that i can drive again with my loved Scooby, but after first start the engine sound not good and after giving a bit throttle the engine makes very very bad noises. I think something in the bottom end broke or what could it be?

here ia the video from the first start:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPQP-o2oU5Q

in 3 Weeks we have winter here in austria and i don´t wont drive with my r32 or FD in the salt.

i have a nice idea of putting a 13B in my Scooby, i love 13B and i build these kinds of engines (porting etc..) But i takes a long time to build some alu adapter plates for the transmision. Someone knows a company who offers such a conversion kit?

thanks for the helping
patrick

The monkey that built it may be fine, the install itself may be where the problems are....

I once had to re-build a brand new red-top for a MKII Escort....

'cos the owner of the car hadn't cleaned out the oil cooler when the previous engine blew !

Dont sound good from the video - sounded like top end when first started ( hydraulic lifters not pumped up ??) but sounded worse after that.
Disconnect the crank sensor and fit a oil pressure gauge - see what oil pressure you have on cold cranking - should be approx 90 psi ( 6 Bar ) on a rebuilt engine with a good bottom end.

thanks for the help.

i work very clean and have cleaned all parts very carefully.
The engine comes from smr engines, i have bought the engine with a warranty so i hope they take the engine back and send me a new one, if not i have a "broken" engine and nerver see my money again.

During the week i take the oil press gauge and sensor from my FD and look what bar the engine have.

So you all think the engine is broken, i never heard such strange noise from a engine bevor.

greetings
Patrick
