Apart from the obvious power difference, is there any change in spec between the 2. I'm thinking of climate control, CD player, ally bonnets etc etc?
Is it also true that with some basic mods you can easily restore the power shortfall?

The UK car has the extra cats to conform with the new emissions and noise regs - as was the WRX - hence the "reduced" power output.

A full decat should put it in the 300+ bracket alegedly...

So, can someone confirm it has the same diffs, same suspension set up, ...?

If so, why did EVO not like the grey STI at all, but climaxed all over the UK spec? If I was cynical, I could think that it had something to do with the four page advert in this month's evo. (NB: not suggesting this is reality)

Not trying to do down EVO, but I want to know what has changed to make the car so much better in their eyes? I've driven the type-UK and thought it superb... Never tried grey yet.
