Question Knocking noise from the Front

Hi guys,

i changed the standard springs on 02 wrx bugeye for lowering springs and since doing it the front near side has started knocking.

I took the near side shock off again today just to c if the was something noticable wrong with it but could find anything. took it apart and put it back together again and then stuck it back on the car. drive down the road and still the same.

Its as if it only does it on small bump.

Any thoughts welcome.

Cheers

Ade

Have a look under the suspension section, there are a few threads about this, it maybe the coils of the spring touching, in which case they need to be wrapped around a plastic sleeve to cure this. I have the same problem with prodrive springs but I don't really want to remove-refit the springs to solve it.

Drop links sounds right,

i had the same on my classic, a clonk when hitting low bumps/ kerbs.

dont buy them from IS, they want £30 each, for glass filled nylon ones

Demon tweaks did steel & polybushed ones for £27 for a pair

Looks like theyve stopped doing them ,

might be worth phoning them to see what they have in stock
