It's possible to modify your own one. Remove your gearstick (a bit fiddly but do a search on here for some help) take it to a forge or someone who can weld. Grind off the bracket and weld it back on about 20mm higher. This reduces the throw of the gearstick. Pretty simple and only cost me a fiver. The only issue arising from doing this is that the gear selector (the thing that the gearstick connects to) sits a bit higher and might rub against the aluminium plate that sits below the gaitor. I simply cut it with wire-cutters and bent it up out the way (only a matter of a few millimetres)
Hope this helps

CDF Racing do one for around £60 IIRC but if you can wait until the show season you might be able to pick one up for £30 from them, I did and its a great bit of kit

I got a cheapy ebay one and it was fine, looked just like a B&M one and even gave their web address for fitting instructions - cheeky!
I needed to add a couple of washers to get a nice fit, but its a worthwhile mod.

I got a short shift for the early classic from ebay and it was crap
The shifter is fixed to the socket by a circlip top & bottom but the circlips just fall off! I swapped the shifter back over to the original one in the end.
