Hi,

Can anyone tell me the best way to apply those side protector strips? I bought an unused pair off a mate who sold his impreza a year ago and there are no instructions...The sticky back adhesive seems very weak and looks like it will come off in the rain!

Cheers!

Hi Matey
I fitted some of these to my car and they went on fairly easy.
1. Clean the surface with some white spirit or something similar.
2. Line the strips up to the body ..Just below the indent in the door and keep it level .
3. I pulled of the top adhesive tape and left the bottom on but pulled tape off a little so i could pull it off.
4. Stick the top on lightly and level it up
5. Pull off the bottom tape and press it on ..bobs ya uncle
6. I heated it up a litle with a hairdryer to make sure it stuck correctly.
7. Park close to another car and never worry again !!!

Hope this helps

Your Local Subaru dealer should be able to supply these for around £50

Thanks

Cheers Gazz...

So the self adhesive is strong enough? I peeled it back and touched a bit of it and it felt quite weak - maybe I'll use the hairdrier trick!

Also, the strips right at the front (the smallest ones), do they peel off? They seem as though they might.

To be Honest the strips that i purchased did feel fairly sticky...Where have these been stored ? could have something to do with it !!
If they don't feel too sticky i would be carefull because you dont want them to start peeling off do you ?

Thanks
Gazza

Get some trim tape from Halfords. It fits nicely in the gap between the two strips on there.
