Default Calling modded Sti owners big favor!

Well if you don't ask I guess...

I've been soo tempted to go the decat, fuel pump remap route, everyone says it’s wonderful. Thing is it's not possible to try before I do it, and I'm also considering an newer ppp or EVO but it's a fair wedge and maybe i'd be happy with mine with these mods. SO if there's anyone out there with a remapped 300-350 bhp 02-05 sti, not so far away from Milton Keynes who would take me out I'd - (obviously be very grateful!!) and:

Come to you, or wherever you'd like to meet
Buy you a tank of super unleaded
Buy you a pint or two or more and have a chat over car matters if you’d like
Won't expect to drive (tho would love to and would obviously insure for your car and drive carefully)
You can drive mine to appreciate the extra performance you have if you’d like!

Anyone who can help please let know

Martin

Stop messing and do it !

Cheaper than swapping cars, you'll get hammered selling yours.

EVO does make more bhp per pound, but you'll have few friends.....

LOL

DunxC

P.S. At first 340 bhp made mine feel like a ride on the space shuttle, 2 years later I'm heading for 400 bhp. It's addictive !

Im near Leicester which is up the M1 from Milton. At Jn 21 Im there most days for my current work. It has an 18G turbo on which i guess isn't a directly fair comparison but you can come and try this if you want. Let me know.... Im also going to be selling my setup e.g. my turbo (18G), AVCR boost controller, ECU mapped for these and PSi3 monitor for c£1100 in about a months time.

If you like it you could get this set swapped into your car and Im making 375bhp on a warm day. (only other mods are APS top mount and a cold air intake). Thats all on standard vPower.

It will be done at Zen so you could just get it done by them. Trust me when you taste this power you will want more.

Note you could then sell your turbo and ECU on getting back about £500 all in, etc so the swap would cost you circa £600.....

reano - Thanks!

I'd love to come up, work in Newbury so will have to figure a day working from home soon!!

Your setup sounds interseting and tempting, tho I guess I'd need an exhaust like yours to get similar power at a fair extra cost? I'm failr ignorant of these things I'm afraid

Thanks again

You want 300-350bhp right a 2.5" exhaust is fine and my 3" one cost £700 - £800 can't remember in a groupbuy a few years ago. You can get good exhausts for less than this. Mines a Miltek from Powerstation.

If I knew then what I know now ...... and was going for the upgrade you choose it will probably cost you the same in remapping time and still having to buy extra bits and bobs. Ask other people on here don't take my word for it.

1) 18G Turbo, AVCR boost controller, Ecutek'd ECU (no license fee to pay at c£500) and the PSi3 pod to monitor this at £1100 is good and if you were to go to Zen Performance at the same time they have my map in there computer so they could do all of it for you...

but up to you just save this thread as you will come back to it in a few years and think why didn't I go with that.
