Thanks to Stef/SIDC for arranging this. Thanks too to whoever didn't pay for the original date which meant I could go, you fools .

Cheers,
Martin.

Just beat me to it! An excellent day, thanks to everyone, particularly Stef and the boys and girls at Prodrive for organising and running it, and Mike Wood (Prodrive) for helping me get all the stones out of my tyre/wheel

Top day, thanks guys (photos to follow)!

Cheers
Richard

Got up this morning at 4am in preparation for spectating at Prodrive Live - just thought it would be another day standing in the cold wind watching Dave T-S doing his stuff round the track, with the dutiful wife behind the camera lens

This all changed when Stef mentioned there was a spare place and would I like it. With a number of seasoned drivers in attendance it was with a sense of trepidation I accepted the challenge of my first real driving experience on track.

I would just like to say I have never driven the scoob like I did today and had the time of my life

The off-road section started with comments like - I'm not driving up that hill/in that mud/in that water......it was as much as I could do to get the land rover in gear by the end of the session I wanted to do it all again - I've never driven at a 45 degree angle in a gully filled with water !

The skid pan session also began with a sense of trepidation - having had a big off on the road recently it bought memories of the diesel spill flooding back - this must have been one of the most memorable sessions - just hope Josh got my 360 spin on camera - also avoided the gravel/grass unlike a certain other yellow team member LOL

Last session was the STI's on the short tight tarmac session - all I can say is my STI can't arrive soon enough

Awesome fun today, think you'll all be seeing me on track days in the future.

A big thanks to Stef for organising the day and also to Mike Wood who showed me just what the scoobs are capable of - simply awesome driving. Think another visit to Prodrive is in order when the STI's arrive

Dave T-S, get your wallet out, I've firmly got the driving day/track day bug

Stef, thanks again for all your effort in organising the day, I had a terrific time.

Richard, glad you managed to get the gravel out of your wheel!

See you all again next time

Andy.

If you are referring to the 10th picture, then it's Dave T-S but not in a black STI - but a slightly modded MY01

Well said Dave Next time I expect two 'slightly modded' STi's to be there so you can do it individually

No probs on the way home, so fingers crossed no damage done to the tyre and wheel (small gravel excursion!). Big thanks again to Mike Wood for all his help during the lunch break.

Great day out, nice to see the old crowd (so to speak!) and meet some new friendly faces. I'll see some of you next week (Jordan/karting day), but to the rest of you - why not come and watch? Otherwise see you at another one soon.

Cheers
Richard

Exclamation

Thanks from me too to Stef for organising it

And to RobMac for putting up with my normal antics while he is sitting in the passenger seat

And to Mike Wood for providing the second most entertaining event of the day (first was my drive in the STi7) by chauffering me round; plus award for biggest powerslide of the day (Mike, I told you P zeros have no grip) - apologies for nagging you about STi7 go faster bits again.....

And lastly, to Josh for turning up on his day off, taking pics, and providing some more ammo for the uploader - and the banter

Top day out, will do it again
