best place to buy a cambelt kit for my98 classic
looking to buy a kit but everywhere i look they are silly money .
im changing my crank seal so i need the belt .

I've got a belt you can have for £35 delivered. It was intended for my 97sti but no longer needed. If you want it and someone can confirm the belt will be ok (I think all classics are the same) Its yours for £35.

sounds cool mate . do u have the tensioners aswell or just the belt

Just the belt mate. Saw some tensioners on ebay yesterday for £25, not sure if its finished or not yet though. Might be worth giving the completed listings a search.

is the crank seal a big job mate? Mine's just started leaking ever so slightly - been quoted around 5 hours for the job!!

lol i would but im flat out with work .
easiest way is take the radiator out , grill ect then u have full view and movement around the belt

So, are you saying the belt doesnt have to come off?? Sorry for the thick question, but the guy that will be doing mine said it's a belt off job, and doesn't recommend putting the old one back on!?!? The belt was only changed a couple of years ago!

the belt has to come off to change the front crank seal as it sits behind the toothed crankshaft pulley.
