try removing the rear wheels & banging the brakes with a rubber mallett to break the seal on them, I assume the handbrake handle in the car goes up & done freely or is that pulled up tight ?

Cheers for the advice - I'll give that a go in the morning - made enough noise already tonight! The hand brake lever releases fine.

Which way are you trying to go -- forwards or backwards? Try it the other way (but not too many revs or you may lock them on harder).

Trying to go forwards. The cars reversed into a corner - only about 6" gap behind it

Yes, that's a problem. Pity me when I had a Saab -- the alarm remote packed up and the valet override was under the bonnet. Trouble is, a Saab's bonnet opens forwards and rolls over the front bumper and it was parked up hard against a wall

I've posted this in the Brakes section but could do with a response ASAP so thought I'd post in General as well.

I don't normally use the Scoob during the week and when I first try to move the car after its been parked for a while there is a loudish clunk as though the handbrake is seized on.

The car has been parked up for three weeks and I've just tried moving it - the handbrakes absolutely jammed solid - I've tried going up to about 4000 or so revs but the car just stalls or the clutch slips How much power can I give it to free the hand brake off? - I don't want to do any damage.

Any ideas? - I want to go out to play this weekend

Cheers,

Ian.
