I was in Lancaster Merc garage near cambridge today, one of the sales guys there was showing off what appears to be a P1 (left hand drive I might add) with a nitrus kit, anyone else heard/seen this.....man if it's true then it must be like sitting inside the cockpit of a jet !

Nitrous?

I doubt it!

Would have thought it would have to be extensively modded to put nitrous on.

I did think about this, after forking out about £10k on an angine conversion (uprated everything)- but the Nitrous will do some real damage to everything - so decided best not to bother

I run NOS on my cossie with no uprated parts and it never damaged a thing - setup properly it is fine - but their are very few folk that both understand nos and turbos to get it to work safe and consistant.

NOS is safe on a turbo if done correctly. I believe it has a cooling effect as well as more power, which takes the engine further away from det point, so more boost.

I did read about NOS assisted turbo where the NOS came in at very low revs and shutting off at the start of boost. This had the effect of making the car come on boost very quickly and making the car extremely responsive. Like a turbo diesel only more so, they said the car felt like it had another 1500cc.

PS I'm not normally so tech-y, this is an aberation and I apologise.

Soundz a bit iffy, I spoke 2 a couple of engineers @ the local machining shop who have done loads of 22B mod work about adding it to my WRX, they asked me "what r u stupid" "U don`t wanna do that if u plan on keepin the car for a bit" So yeah it is possible but can be dodgy...

I believe it to be totally safe as long as it is setup well and you dont exceed the power required to actually snap stuff

I left mine on be accident and did a whole run from glasgow to bruntingthrope and now ill effect as well as using every other day for small bursts
Should have realised when we got to lancaster in 1 hour 15mins from my door in glasgow! OOPS! But I never had a speedo in those days!

Can be a lot of fun but I would go for convential tuning first if I was you
