Default basic tool kit

hi all

just wondered what basic tools you have yourselves or would recommend to keep in the boot just in case of breakdowns or minor problems....

basic socket set, jump leads, molegrips/pliers, cable ties (large and small) gaffer tape, bulb kit, screwdrivers, thats about it mate, maybe a couple of popular o/e spanners.

aa card !!

i remember finding my subaru tool kit thats provided in the boot when i got the car, i felt really cheated.


ive not broken down in 5 years but i spose it will happen one day.

wheel brace and a spanner i think is all you need

i dont carry no tools , just a AA card in my wallet , saves on weight and rattles ...lol

when i got my car i found there were 3 mini subaru toolkits in it
2 were complette one was half full!
i also have a tool box with spanners, screwdrivers, fuses and other bits and bobs
my brother is always ringing me up when im out somewhere asking me 2 fit this that or the other or change something for him!

Tank tape, tie wraps and a big screwdriver (hammer if you have room)

would need a spare/support car to carry any of that in the noble. RAC card is the limit.

Cable ties are a must to carry, take up no room, add no weight but can be used for a multitude of situations!
