i've seen a classic with CC fitted as standard.

the car also had leather, sunroof, and was a weird minty greenish colour.

there are so many derivatives of classics about !!!

CC was also available from Subaru dealers as an aftermarket option on the classic, but I've not seen it listed for any of the new-age models - its the one option I'd love on my Spec D, as I can cover a large number of motorway miles.

I've not looked into any third party suppliers.

It might be worth contacting a dealer in Australia, they have CC on the STI down under. Not sure if it's available as a retrofit kit or whether it has to be installed at the factory, though.

As gareth said..the New Age's never seamed to have them

The 2008 STI has though, (as did my 2004 Leggie)

I would also be interested in finding out.
Very handy on long runs and even helps the MPG a little

The 3.0R engine in the Legacy did 2-3 mpg more on cruise control (m-way) than at the same speed manually..

But the 2.5 turbo in my new STI seams to be worse when on c/c... ..

Three trips now... and I've averaged a better mpg each time when the cruise is left off...

I looked into this quite a bit last year, the thread above is worth a read through. The retrofit using genuine subaru parts is a no-go, you can get most of the bits easy and cheap enough from Oz or US, but the UK looms don't have the wiring. And I suspect the ECU would therefore also not have the software if you did add the hardware. If anyone's interested in looking again I've got loads of info and pics (including lots of the cruise hardware in my dad's legacy, I was tempted at one point to start robbing bits )

Interested if anyone's fitted an aftermarket kit?

Pete,

It seems God's dad (!) managed to get and fit the Conrad Anderson kit and get it all up and running ok.

Hopefully after I gave the thread a bump, he might give us an update...?
