Bought the wife a Type R...
Finally after joining with a few usernames, and paying membership fee under another im now on the forum
I bought my wife a subaru vers 5 type r and we went to pick it up yesterday..
Im actually quite impressed with it. Coming from alot of FWD and Lots of RWD, it makes a nice change to get something 4WD... Its fantastic... Has quite a few things need sorting out to make me happy with it but otherwise its quite mint!!
Heres a few pics..
Want to make it mint outside as much as i can and then the modding will start

Lol... Cheers chaps...
Yea, the outside is pretty mint!, You should see underneath the car!!! Its mint!
Just needs a good buff and the vents/splitter respraying properly, boot leak to be sorted, lol...
She already said she wants a 3" afterburner vortex, lol.

I'd also get it remapped, if it hasn't been already, for more and smoother power, plus peace of mind over running on UK fuel as it was originally mapped for 100 ron japanese fuel and these can go bang if you're unlucky - about £600 for a UK fuel ecutek map ( this uses original ecu and just reflashes a better map)that can also be tweaked for relatively low cost as each mod goes on or all together.at the same time. In the meantime, I'd run with 60 mil of NF Race Octane booster per tank just to make sure.
Nice looking car.

Just stick a bottle of octane booster in each tank for safe measure, and get the remap done soon as.
I'd go with a simtek and get launch control and anti-lag intergrated too
With a 3" system... BOOM BOOM

with that lot you would be looking at around 400bhp dependant on the turbo.
you will also need a fuel pump and regulator and id have the oil pump uprated as well.. but bear in mind that is gearbox breaking teritory. id go for the ecu fuel pump and reg first. let her get used to it then think about other stuff.oh and get some decent rubber.. and tell her to be carefull in the wet as the type r DOES BITE you in the *** if you get on the power too early.you need minimum first notch on the dccd if damp and dial it up accordingly dependant on conditions and how bad her attitude is. im sure she must be quite experienced for you to get her this in the first place cos there not for the faint hearted
