Snapped a Bolt in the block....
A friend of mine is restoring a very very old classic Mini and has been inspired by my constant work on scoobys, so e got his spanners out.
anyway, he was bolting the engine mount thingy to it with some new bolts which he was told were the right ones and the bolt he was tightening snapped off with the thread inside the block of his mini.
aside from his car what suggestions to people have to get the bolt thread out of the block.
is it simply a case of drill it out?
we tried cutting a flat head screw slot into the top of it with a dremmel and then using a screw driver, but it's rock solid screwed in
any sensible suggestions
Cheers.

you could try an easy out or something like this CHT123 Screw Extractor & Wrench Set - Tap & Die Sets, Files & Extractors - Machine Mart
drill the center of the bolt then screw in the extractor, whith the extractor screwing in the opposite way to the bolt it should grip and unscrew the bolt stuck in the block
hope this helps
