Default Version 1 STi - How many edition?

Ok, so first theres the acropolis version 1's

then there seems to be another batch of 100 version 1's, not the acropolis ones

Then theres the 2nd batch, a run of 200..including silver and Black cars....
my mates silver one

and a black one

So how many different version one's were there!??! And before anyone starts nagging, I know its not officially called a "version 1", but in effect it is a version 1

All those plaques are taken from pictures of saloon wrx sti's from piston heads, apart from my mates car pic (small ones)

If so, care to explain why one batch of 100 are with the "acropolis" badge, and another batch of 100 are with a "normal" badge?

Plus another batch with a "normal" badge, but out of 200?

mine is 85 of 200 of the second run of the original sti version 1 wagon car.

Isnt it funny how many people hold these cars in the highest regards, afterall they started the whole impreza rallying scene etc etc, and yet for something that is as rare as these, you cant sell em for love nor money for anything near what they are worth.

Calm down children...

the main question being asked (and Iam interested to know the answer too), is how come there are two different types of plaque for the same run of 100 cars? Or were there two runs of 100 cars, which I think has been established as no.

That answer doesnt address the question. If the OP is correct in stating that both 'of 100' plaques are off saloons, then its difficult to explain. If not, then I would agree with Andy as I believe that the Acropolis plaques were only fitted to the saloons.

Of course, to move forward, youd need to find two saloons, both with the same limited number of one hundred, with Aropolis and non-Acropolis plaques.....

true, having studied most of the plaques that I could find, most of the acropolis xxx/100 seem to be low numbers, and the normal plaques xxx/100 seem to be higher numbers...

But yeah, still a mystery until we actually find these cars
