Default JDM Bugeye exhaust problem

I have a JDM Wagon with a Decat downpipe and a STi Genome back box. The center section which contains a resonator has corroded through at the downpipe joint.

My question is, is the resonator in place of the CAT on the UK model, and if so, can I just buy a decat centre pipe and fit that?

Or can anyone recommend a specialist in the Midlands area who can supply/fit something for me. I don't want to drive too far as I reckon it might snap! (Car has hardly been used for about 4 months, biking weather )

Thanks for any advice,

Rob.

Title does say JDM Bugeye

It's an 02.

Appears the same as yours (as far as I can see). Upipe (CAT), downpipe (CAT, removed), centre section (Resonator), backbox.

oh yeh sorry....

my uk spec has uppipe (cat) downpipe (cat) front pipe (cat) resonated centre section, backbox

yours being the jdm may not have the front (cat) therefor you could just buy a de-resonated centre section to replace your corroded section..

fairly easy to fit mate, idid mine myself.. have alook on (ebay) im sure ull find one on there

A New Age JDM exhaust is similar to a Classic, IIRC, with fewer differently shaped sections to a UK New Age.

I'll give Scoobyworld a call, looked earlier but was confused as they offer free fitting on some parts, then say they do not offer a fitting service!!

Customer service in the UK is crap

Got under it earlier with axle stands under one side to find out where it was blowing, but wouldn't fancy trying to fit one. Still, I would manage if could be sure I was buying the right part.

Cheers.

sounds like you just need a new centre section, wether you choose a resonated or deresonated one, like i said it pretty straight forward to fit but if there offering free fitting then go for it..saves you a job and ull know its fitted properly

good luck mate
