Default Trading 2003 Legacy Wagon for Impreza Wagon 2004-2005: Worth it?

I have a 2003 Legacy Wagon SE that has 100km on it. It's due for it's 96km service which I gather will cost me an arm and a leg! I was thinking of trading in the Legacy for a smaller Impreza wagon with less km; maybe 2004-2005. I contacted the dealership and was told that it would cost me quite a bit to switch it out. Any thoughts here? Is it worth maintaining the Legacy (I'm guessing the 96km will include replacing the timing belt $$), or paying a bit more and getting a younger vehicle with fewer kms? Cheers!
