welbro 255 fuel pump size????

Default welbro 255 fuel pump size????

hi people iv finally got around to fitting my welbro 255 fuel pump but it is noticably smaller than the std fuel pump iv taken out i know tecnolgy come along way in 15years since my car was built but just want to check iv been ad over has anybody else come across this also now iv fitted the the pump id like too raise the boost 2 around 1bar mybe little more if poss my car is a k plate wrx ra iv fitted the following 2 hopefully run higher boost a little safer apart from fuel pump iv fitted a front mount,tub headers,3"de cated exhaust,blizts air fitter also have a mapped ecu from same age and spec wrx ra wht was set up 4for 1.1bar not sure weather 2 fit this tho.?the car is well looked after low milage with good clutch and gearbox and well servised so should be ok to up the boost without to much worry..?

Your replacement pump should be marked GS341 if it is the right one.

Cant really remember the size,so cant help you.But...make sure the pump seal is correctly seated.Mine wasn't and the seal corroded in no time and had to be replaced.Tell tale sign is the strong smell of v power whilst driving !

may have to remove pump to check number now as iv already fitted it as 4 sealing it all went together pretty nicely but will double check everything now when i check part num cheers

matty was just going to post the same thread up. i have a type ra (96). and i put a walbro fuel pump in. took my old one out and looks much more bigger then the walbro one. my question is which one is the better one. and another thing is ive put a fuel pressure reg on the car too. when i hit about 6 rpm its starts to miss ... is it because its running to rich or is it the fuel pump ?

hi m8 u noticed it too then its a fair bit smaller than the std item which is worrying me im havin no miss fire trouble with mine wht fitter did you use with urs as i fitted the std one off the old pump due to people telling me the new items are no good and cause problems?also whts your pressure set at iv been told to set mine at 3bar at tick over?
