Default New 'euro-spec' 08 Sti - arrived yesterday

And what an incredible car it is....

Finally picked up my new spark silver Sti yesterday - its got the BBS wheels, sat nav / cd / dvd, Recaros, privacy glass etc etc. Best colour by far - even the salesman said it was the nicest one he'd seen...

To be honest I've heard everyone say they look so much better in the flesh - and they do. I sctually ordered one without seeing one in the flesh - but it's OK I'm a believer

I guess with the smaller 17" wheels it could look a little mismatched - but with the 18" wheels it looks awesome.

Inside its a step up from the last generation - but outside... it really has taken the game on - its another class.

A focused weapon

The 300 horses seem to be there alright even though I'm running in for the first 1000 miles (a contentious issue I believe).

Only mods so far will be the Sti front splitter and front fogs on Wed.

Mine is a Malta import sold by CARBANK for the full uk price BUT on 0% interest and no deposit !

To me its a deal - they make their dosh and I get my car. Last one I had came form Litchfields and I pocketed the small discount but this time its not a cash purchase so I opted for this deal.

They had another 12 or so new STi cars from the basic model upto this top euro spec version. Even in blue with the 5 spoke's it looked fabulous in the flesh.

So go and make your dream a reality... I did and I'm loving it.

This is the euro spec STi. We get them here in Ireland.

I don't think the UK car comes with push button start as these do.

These pics are just a glimps of what he's looks like to satisfy people until he gets his own pics up.

Welcome pal

Great car (whatever the classic and newage lovers say!!)

ps..when does the "newage" title stop refering to bugs and blobs?

pps: ericsti.. looks like you have a different Head Unit to our Euro Spec? Might be the camera angle but I'm sure mine's not like that!

Too many peeps flame it without seeing it in the flesh let alone trying it out.

95-00 Antique
01-07 Classics
08-11 Newage

I'm sharing that opinion Tony.... from some angle's it isn't a pretty motor I admit..but from others it's quite agressive.. which is what the Impreza should be.. and it DRIVES like an impreza

Just a note to anything thinking of buying the new model: having sat in one at the motorshow with std seats, you simply MUST get the Recaro upgrade- the std ones aren't supportive enough!

Congratulations on your purchase I hope you love it as much as I love my UK 08 STI. Expect plenty of positive comments at petrol stations, super markets and car parks in general.
