I see them all the time in threads although with others, and I smply have no idea what they mean.

I reckon this would be easier and cheaper to write on paper, and using a biro and i think we should stop using these examples of abbreviations and started thinking before we write and speak to others.Also that is spelled sail.

Erm.... No SIAL even I know that even if I don't know what it means.

IMHO this means the poster has a shaky hand, been on the brew or an afliction (stutter)

SIAL : There was a photo of a Subaru from Scandinavia that had dropped throught the ice into a lake. Everybody and his dog posted it to everybody and his dog so over a period of weeks/months everyone received it numerous times. Si SIAL became the call sign for seen it before (loads)
