EXEDY ORGANIC CLUTCH
Can you tell me about the above mentioned clutch. I drove a STI 2003 MY today with 392 bhp and 473 nuton metres (or whatever you call it) of torque. The clutch was heavy but very grippy, but on change downs coming to islands etc made a grinding/grateing noise. Only very slight but it was there. The gearbox was spot on with no baulky changes etc. The clutch is mated to a lightend balanced flywheel. Is this noise and heavy weight to be expected of this type of clutch or not.

Absolutely no help whatsoever........... but my AP organic clutch seems lighter than the OEM item and it's mated to a Roger Clark Motorsport circa 7KG flywheel which was a bit tricky to start with but now a kitten to drive
I'm running 400 odd BHP with a touch of methanol but I'm now being left behind LOL

The clutch is a heavy duty one (by all accounts) iv'e never driven one with an uprated clutch before, so i'm not sure if that,s how they feel (heavy) or make that type of noise. The guy said that it needed that type of clutch because of the amount of torque?
