no more cypriot imports
apparently i.m have won a court case that stops imports from liaco being sold from non dealers. this means when their current stock is sold off they can't get any more, no more cheap imports.

Their dealers will love that. They aren't gonna be selling many anyway with the economy going ****, and now there'll be less to service and repair too. Typical greedy British ****** attitude, cutting their nose off and shooting themselves in the foot.

Similar to Mitsubishi and Nissan have done with the court cases.
Bit too late for Subaru though, they do it for new models. That will be the new hatchback that nobody wants.
I had a chat with my local dealer a few weeks back, who I've known for years.
He hasn't sold a single new WRX since it was launched last November; and STi sales for March/April/May are less than half for the same 1/4 last year. He did add that sales for the base model at £13k were higher.

Can't sell the WRX or STI for love nor money. Has sold 2 STIs and no WRXs and he said it was not for a lack of people looking, just 99% of them just don't like it, either because of its looks or because it being a hatch when they have always ahd a saloon.
Nice one Subaru

Liaco is the official Subaru dealer in Malta and not Cyprus.
Business for WRX EU imports has alll but stopped - no one wants them even at £15,499 from Motorpoint.
I think Motorpoint started off with a stock of 12 almost a year ago and they've only shifted 3 or 4 in all that time!!
Motorpoint shifted a huge number of the old WRX sourced from Malta. So action by IM is way too late

IM are even restricting dealers to 17 diesel Outback/Legacy cars each! x less than 100 UK dealerships and that less than 1700 cars!
I really think they are losing the plot, a new Legacy/Outback is due next year but that can't be a good enough excuse.................can it?
