Suprisingly some sensible people on their as well though. I was expecting everyone to pat him on the back and say that the corsa is the fastest car on the world lol Not the case if you read.
It also amuses me that the so called Impreza experts on these forums all think that newage cars are slow due to being a bit heavier than the classic. Out of the box the heaviest of all the saloon Impreza STIs is 0-60mph in 5.1secs which is quicker than most of the standard classic turbos with the exception of a few special editions. They also handle a lot better.
Not knocking the classic, it was a monster of a car out of the box in it's time and still is today if modified... but come on... reality check anyone...

The reason classics are used by tuners is because they have a lighter car to start from and they are also a cheaper base car.

Santa Pod Corsa v Scoob day would be a good outing.
Track day even better
I like to drive quick in sensible situations, ie. back roads, I was overtaken in a 40mph zone through my old village the other day by a Corsa GSi.
Now i'm sure he'll be telling all his pub mates when he reaches the legal drinking age how he hammered it passed a Scoob STI but whether he lets slip he was doing 70+mph in a 40mph zone is another matter.
Obviously we've all be there, but I never remember doing crazy sh*t like this or bragging about the impossible.

its a corsa with a turbo engine.
the LET is basically the anatation that vauxhall use to signify that the engine is turbo charged
XE is for NA engines
the calibra turbo engine was a c20LET (2litre turbo charged)
the mk3 astra GSI enigne often reffered to as a redtop was a c20XE (a 2litre NA engine)
also get the Z20LET which is the newer version of the turbo chagred engine in the mk4 astra GSI
and then to really add confussion the astra VXR engine is a Z20LEH with the H standing for high output even tho this is a turbo charged engine

Its a corsa with the 2.0 litre turbo engine as found in the cavalier/calibra 4x4 turbo.
Corsas are usually transplanted with either the c20XE engine (2.0 16v) or the c20LET engine (2.0 16V turbo)....2 litre turbos can be dammed quick in a straight line but can also be found wheel spinning in fourth gear in the wet lol

dunno but there was an issue with that tigra and bannysti's scoob, there was a big post on here and on migweb about it.If he could control the wheelspin it would be a 10 sec car,the terminals on the quarter are very high, second in class at TOTB last year not bad for a tigra

the "redtop" engine is the C20XE engine,150 bhp out the box, should be good for mid 14's with suspension mods and a decent driver, mod it properly and you have a different machine,my local car club has a corsa on TB's with quaife diff and closer ratio box (F16) and runs 13.3 which would put a few scoobs to the sword on the quarter.LET engine is 204 bhp out teh box in a car that weights under a ton, maybe slower off the line but when rolling they are very quick.....in a straight line
