Default Scooby sport gearbox, would a 752 work instead of a 754??

hi, i have a wine in second gear of my classic sport special, the box number starts with 754.
i bought a gearbox, diff and rear drive shafts on ebay dead cheap that came out of a 1999 gl, i was/am hoping the box would fit, but the box number starts with 752 and am just wondering if it would fit in my sport and what is the difference between them?

Cheers Al

Default

why would you want to ??? a 754 is a much stronger box than a 752.

also a 752 would not have come out of a 99! 754 was fitted to 99/00 as far as I know.
