Default After reading someones post about the Vauxhall forum

I came across a couple of little gems

Found here

1st :- posted by LordNikon

Back on topic, impreza if you want outright speed in a raw style, you will however look like a guy who really wants an Evo. Or the 330 if you want abit of style and luxury, at the sacrifice of the raw performance, and the small fact everyone else on the road thinks your a ****

2nd :- posted by Brett

scooby= chavs with a turbo
BMW= I love myself more than youll ever know, and if u buy a cabby then you want to hear folk calling you a tosser.

Now, bearing in mind this is a Vauxhall Astra forum, who are they classing as chavs

Trolling for an inter forum fight eh Nate?

Personally, I really don't care what a bunch of Vauxhall Astra owners think about me or my car.

Nope not internet trolling ........ Just thought it funny that Astra owners are referring to anyone that owns a Subaru as a Chav

hey i see the point the first bloke mentions,,, the impreza is a little like a poor mans evo

its the reason why i aint got a evo as scoobies seem better value for money,,,,,,,, at the downside of the image you get as a driver of one

Agreed. I was looking at Evo 5's and 6's a while ago, but couldn't justify paying twice what mine is worth for the same performance.

FWIW i don't think my Impreza looks chavvy though

mate ive got ginger hair and i bleach my fringe,, sometimes i die the fringe either blue, pink, purple or blue,,,,,, i think that looks cool but im sure most wont agree

they only look chavy due to the drivers who seem to own them im afraid

great cars though,, i bought mine when looking at buying a M3 to test and see what a 4wd car would feel like for my ring trip,,,,, was ment to sell it when i got back and buy a M5 but i just love driving it,,,,, i aint bothered about image though as its a toy for track use for me

Tbh lads there are some Impreza's around that are total sheds and do look chavvy, we all know ourselves that they are more than affordable to lots of ppl nowadays, on the other hand, there are some beutifully kept Impreza's that would and do put Vauxhalls to shame...water off a ducks back, most of them talk sh1te because they have to put up with driving a vauxy and be depressed.

Them vauxhall forums are peeving me off. Have you seen the comments on the vauxhall tigra forums against scoobynet members?

Never known any vauxhall to go round a corner

Surely an Impreza is a thinking man's peformance car, as why pay more for the same power/handling? Having said that the Evo is better looking. I can afford one but can't justify the costs given I can think.

Yes, Imprezas are suffering from the cars being affordable to people on benefits, but this is all changing thanks to the rising costs of motoring. Thanks Gordon! They will all be back in their Vauxhalls soon

evo's good performance but not the same when you get inside them, the cockpits are complete trash, unless its one of the few with the recaro interior which from what ive seen in on tinternet is rare! standard facelift uk turbo interiors are way better! and they arent even high quality compared to some of the ones you can get.
1998 impreza sti insurance is £495 for me
1997 evo 4 insurance £895
says it all, plus those rear wings suck on evo's

From someone thats just gone from a blob sti to an Evo 8 thats complete bollox im afraid mate.

The money some ppl spend modding their scoob they could easily afford to run an Evo, Ive found mine worse on petrol and of course, 2 x services per year or every 4.5k miles...if your not ragging it to death then its only the oils/fluids that need changing tbh.

Btw, with Moley, I paid only £25 more and the Evo has another 40 horses than my sti had....

If the person owns a vauxhall then I guess they do both.

I've read through their posts and its funny how they went from slating scoobys to slating the owners also.

Someone pls pm me when a shootout is arranged against astras and I'll make sure even the mrs comes along with her standard wrx.
