Default Budgies 450bhp/450lb ft hawkeye

not sure where to go next
am suffering with patella tendonitis
after driving the wifes car this weekend
and my car sitting on the drive all week
i find my car harder to drive other than for track day use
what should i do?
1. keep the car for weekend use and the odd track day
2. sell the car to someone who will use it more
3. try to enter a race series next year(driver dependant)

Why do you find it too difficult to drive more often?

its my right knee that has the problem
and driving on track involves plenty of movement
but on the road getting there
at a constant 70mph
my leg is causing me terrible pain
its lack of movement thats the problem
cruise control would be handy

budgie

ricky, could be
gary, not sure my policy covers me for that

Hell of a lot of money in that car to take it racing, and you'd always regret letting it go, i still miss the scoob, but then i suppose you could go and the Mazda WRX STI

I don't know if i'd track the car with that much money invested in it.

Awesome car, tried to buy it myself. I thought it had 530bhp+ has it de-tuned or exagerted figures previously??

I'd look into the cruise control option. I can't stand mine on the motorway and also find it harder/louder/more hard work to drive than my weekly vRS commuter.

(But that's half the love of it!)

Got to agree with Gaz, the more you put into driving a scoob the more it gives you back.

I'm sure they would of up rated your clutch, I've actually noticed the calf on my left leg has grown since I bought my scoob (believe it or not).

I understand where your coming from about selling or keeping it for the weekend, I keep mine for the weekend and do sometimes think weather or not it was worth it (especially when buying stuff for it), but when i drive it i know why i bought it (and obviously when I'm hanging out with the mighty MSOC)

It tough one I guess, you would definitely miss it no doubt but what would you replace it with an EVO 10 or a Porchse with a "flappy paddle gearbox"

my car only has lowly 350/340 but is very easy to drive and live with eg phantasialand (via the ring) with all of family-if you modify too much you seem to lose a lot of the driveability and it depends on how your car was mapped

ps not that i am jealous of all the extra power!
