I think...don't quote me on this...

You buy tint spray from the shop which does exactly what it's called and tint what ever you spray. Then mask off your numbers and letters on the plate and wack a few layers of that on then a layer of laquer.

I know a mate of mine who owns a car part shop done this to his rear lights due to his car being black and the lights being white, looks good and suits the car well...

Tinted as in brown/smoke/dark...or tinted as in they've got a blue or orange tint...?

If the latter then the owner has forgotten to peel off the protective plastic film from when they were made !

Just got some of these. Been looking for some for ages, and after lots of enquiries and some people not having a clue what I'm talking about ?
Found a company called Autoreg Ltd who do them, apparently they a regular suppliers to many other car forums.

Just got them on and they look superb, and not too over the top, they look cool especially on a black car like mine !

Create a photobucket account. Upload the photos on there and copy and paste the IMG code into the box you write in on here. Simplesss

Wow, that car is a beaut, but those plates are well dark !
I don't think you'd last till the end of the street with those on !!

Mine are nowhere near as dark as those. It is the actual acrylic plate that is smoked, and has no window tinting stuff on.

Most are done using light smoke window tinting film. And yes they are illegal. I received 30 on the spot ticket.
