Performance / handling - Wagon vs saloon - New Shape
#1
Read with interest a related thread this morning.
The handling on my MY01 WRX wagon is light years ahead of my old MY00 turbo saloon. Interested to hear whether anyone thinks the latest wagon is not a match for its 4-dr equivalent in terms of performance and handling?
Cheers,
Rich

I recall reading a report, it was either Car of Evo who had one on long term test. They complained that the 5 door understeered more due to its narrower track at the front. They do push cars to the adsolute limits though.

That same Evo magazine preferred a MY99 with 17" wheels and PPP (RB5) and the P1 to the STi 7 and the UK300 in terms of performance and handling. Horses for courses obviously I prefer the MY99/00 Turbo to the MY01/02 WRX personally as well!
