Default Would a V3 STI wagon ECu fit my WRX?

One of the guys here has been good enought o offer me a version 3 STI wagon ECU (300bhp) for my 19996 WRX. Both have thed coild pack on top of the inlet manifold.

My wrx is the 280bhp type. Can you please confirm this will fit mine and work? No imob to worry about is there?

you will need to fit the ecu with matching AFM of the V3 but injector size must also be the same. I wouldnt be sure if that ecu would cause valve float issue since sti v3 ecu revs ups to 8250 cut off
