Default Done too much, 4 pots AND 17" wheels at the same time

Just fitted 4 pots and 17" wheels with 215 45 17 tyres to a classic,with an ET of 48.

WOW,the clearance of the 4 pots to the wheel is about 2/3 mm !!!!!

anyway, all went on o.k,but when drivin, from, what i can hear/think is the passenger side front wheel i get a rubbin/chuffin noise, doesnt go when turn the steering or when breakin,so somethings rubbin, not sure if its the discs//wheels or what ?

the calipers isnt touchin the wheel i dont think as no paint has come away from the caliper.

any ideas, would the 215/45/17 ET48 wheel and 4 pots cause any issues ?

could it be the used discs etc

any ideas ?

dont think its the tyres, no sign of rubbing and it seems only the passenger front makin this noise, no noise from drivers side or rear so i dont think its the tyres, also, my suspension is pretty solid so not much movement on it, the noise is made from 1 mph onwards on the front side only, nothing changes it, turning circle/speed/braking.

wondering if its the pad backin plates, i made some from brass sheet as i didnt have a pair of shims for the passenger side and thinkin about it, its the side fitted with these making the noise, doh

what wheels and where are the balance weights? if they're stick on ones they might be too thick and touching the caliper try taking the wheel off and having a look
