Hi all was just wondering if anyone had bought HIDs from these lot on ebay?

They're selling the H4 set which I need for my classic for £50 plus a tenner postage. Just wanted to know if they're any good or not.

I'm with Bob on this one If you MUST have HID's on a classic, buy from someone who has good feedback. There's been no end of posts on here about cheapo HID's.

Oh, and I'm sure Bob will be along in a mo as he promised to do, to tell you all about the LEGALITY of using HID's.........

Haven't dealt with them but I've bought "cheap" HID kits for both the scooby and my Vectra daily driver.

And they're fantastic.

Even if they are illegal unless fitted as standard due to not having auto level adjusters connected on the suspension.

I bought the 6000k ones which tbh are a bit blue really. I'd go with the 8000k next time for the daily driver but really like the blue in the scoob.

 

8000k are more bluer

 

correct 4300 are the ones you want they give a nice bright white light the same as OE fit.

as for original posters question i would steer clear of cheap ebay items especially with h4 fit ones,as alcazar says stick to a seller with good reputation.

 

Thanks lads, I totally understand everyones opinions on buying from a reputable seller i.e Bob, I've been watching the Group buy for ages and everytime I think about buying a new, mpe important expense comes up and I put it off again. I'm pretty gutted I missed the end of line sale Bob was doing, I just didn't check the net during that time!

Also I'm currently in two minds whether to change cars (newer scoob before you start booing!!) or not so don't really want to put more money in the car if I'm not keeping it for much longer.

Bob you'll probably end up hearing from me in a few weeks anyway! Any sales coming up!?!? ;-)

hids on a classic are great what a improvement at night but dont go for cheap ebay ones
