Watching the rally season coverage on Grandstand (BBC1) yesterday lunchtime, and whose face was plastered all over the screen for the opening few seconds? Why, it was our own Pete Croney, SIDC chairman and Scoobysport owner....

Anyone else notice?

I think the coverage was quite good as they managed to get all of his mug in for a few moments

Seemed okay, but I only properly watched the first few minutes (I was at my brother-in-law's house) and the sound was down. The new Scoob WRC almost (!) doesn't look ugly!

Not sure where it was at (couldn't hear!) but it was at some big conference centre or something, looked like the WRC 2001 launch, or something. There was a Scoob stand behind, and a Ralliart one in the background, both with WRC cars on them. It was immediately followed by a short interview with Burnsy.

If anyone's taped it perhaps we could get it digitised? It's pretty easy to spot - on the telly I was watching your head was about 28" across, Pete.

Pete's so used to being on telly, there is NO way he can remember EVERY camera pointed at him!!!

I'm sure he will try and get onto the BBC coverage of the Monte Rally as well, if I know him at all well!!! (Ain't that right M8!!)
