im still debating as to what engine to put back in my my98 wagon , and ive been offered afew and its a uk turbo stuff but i want to get to about 350 ish bhp , will the uk turbo take this obviousley with bigger turbo injectors and remap etc etc im on about internally pistons rods etc etc ? or is it just better to hold out for an sti item ?

have you thought about calling a few tuners for advice, along with the possibility of them supplying an engine in that state of tune with some form of warranty?

Just loose gut feel figures from what I have seen on here/experienced over the years.

On standard internals as a rule of thumb.

320ish then you are begining to push it
(personaly 300-310 is what I would be happy with - with some safety margin built in)
Someone I knew ran 370ish for a fair few years before it blew
Make sure it has the later my754 box on it.
Of couse there are people running 'fairly' big power on standard internals.
