Get the garage to use a std blanking plug to fill the hole. The lambda sensor is at the bottom of the engine, front right by heat shield not by downpipe. I believe also you can blank the hole using a sparkplug!?

A question:

Having entrusted my local garage to fit my SS downpipe, they seem to have lost the plot somewhat.
They removed the old CAT downpipe (after 3 hours @ £45 per hour!). Having removed the 'CAT of fire' sensor, they can't understand what the 14mm hole at the top of the new downpipe is for and neither can I.
The Lamda sensor plugs in before the downpipe I think so what is the hole for and how do I plug it?

Any ideas for my poor local garage - please.

Angry

PS if you post a question twice then you could have the decency to read them both before you have a go at someone who is trying to help.

I had checked the Drivetrain section out approx 1.5 to 2 hours ago and although there was 1 reply for the question, your post had not appeared at that time. I had read the post honest GUV'NOR. No sarkee coment was intended just light harted banter. Anyway thanks for the advice, I just hope that the garage in question can now pick up tools and finish the job

Cheers
