As you know the WRX Wagon has a full HKS SuperDrager exhaust system, which is nice, but it is a little loud, so I'm considering replacing it with something sporty but not too loud.
My current leaning is towards a full scoobysport exhaust system, mainly as I know that they are god exhausts.
What I want to know is how much quiter than a SuperDrager system would a full scoobysport system be? would it be possible/best to just fit a scoobysport backbox (if such a thing exists) if so would this make much difference to sound levels?
Any idea on complete price inc VAT and fitting for a fully scoobysport system?

If you want to see if the noise is better, see if there is anyone in your area, or if there is a meet close to you, most people are only to happy to take people out for a spin to see how the car sounds etc.
I think the SS exhaust breaks down like this ?
Backbox = 305 incl
Centre = 52.88 incl (Exchange)
Downpipe = 211.50 incl
All plus fitting, downpipe being the most expensive to fit. It depends if the HKS stuff fits straight onto standard exhaust components? If it does you could get away with the centre and backbox. Dont know a great deal about HKS exhaust, except they have a channel tunnel for the tailpipe

Thanks Ian.
Tell me about the channel tunnel sized tailpipe! I'm getting used to it, but it still reeks of 'max power boy' and that's another reason I'm considering the change.

I was wondering what the red stains on the bonnet of the car parked behind me were
Jazz the cat did have a sniff of the tailpipe, but I don't think he's crawled up there yet! I'm just wating for Maggie the Weimaraner to decide that the nice big hole is where she'd like to stick her snout into, and then I'll have a black headed and sliver bodied weim!
Seriously though, I've been talking to SuzyQ and her car is going to need some pre MOT work done, so a new exhaust in on the backburner for a while, and she said that it's not too bad, so I'll stick with it for a while and we'll see what happens.
cheers for the advice, the bbs is an absolute godsend, dunno what I'd do without it (work, perhaps? )

I don't know what Markus is talking about! I said that it didn't sound too loud if you have ear protector's on!!Unfortunately they are not the most attractive things too wear when one is is one's scooby.I say turn up the music and you will never hear the exhaust!
