If you needed to relocated the knock sensor on a 2003 Impreza, where would you locate it to?

If you look at the knock sensor from the passenger side, there is a suitable drilled/tapped hole on the block about two inches further to the rear and slightly higher on the block.

A lot of people put them up on the bellhousing by the engine number.

Thanks for that, I think that is the area I am trying to describe. I had to relace the sensor, the bolt retaining the original was siezed and I've rounded the head, so I am just going to leave it there disconnected. Fortunately I don't need to drive much these days.
