Default Which steering wheel lock?

I'm off to Halfords to get a steering wheel lock for my car.
I've read on here that Disklok is definetly the best but can anyone recommend a cheaper alternative that is just as good. (the disklok looks too heavy and bulky for my liking).

Was thinking about these:
1) Halfords 4Tress Bar Steering Wheel Lock from Halfords Price £39.99

2) Stoplock Pulsar Steering Wheel Lock from Halfords Price £32.99

3) Stoplock Pro Steering Lock from Halfords Price £49.99

Which ones better? (the first one looks like it can double up as a baseball bat so may be handy when the thief is caught red handed )

The alternatives listed are all rubbish too: I could take then off easily and quickly. Only Halfrauds will benefit from your buying one: them and the first scrubber who wants to have your car away.

In all honesty its worth paying out for a proper disk lock.

When I lost my keys to my old car I had a 'stoplock pro', honestly I got a scredriver, wedged it into the lock and the lock snapped open. I'm not a car thief and I got it off in 10 seconds.

In the tests they carried out on the disklocks it was taking the professionals minutes to take them off which is impressive.

Costcos used to sell them a bit cheaper than the shops, or 2nd hand on ebay if you want to save some cash. Oh and I got a discount on my insurance too, think it was classed as Cat 3, mechanical detterent or something.

Definitely a DiskLok...Search around on the net, you can pick one up for around £60...Just don't get a chrome one like i did. Yes it looks good, but you could fry an egg on it when the sun heats it up!!!

Why skimp on a crap lock and not a disclock?

Youre losing sight of the fact of why you want a lock in the first place.... to stop some little toe rag from making off with your car.

Im sure he'lll love you to buy the cheap/light/crap option. lol

Disclock or nothing if you ask me. Some of them above would actually help them nick it as they can get better leverage to snap the steering lock off

We have 20 of them - wouldn't use anything else.

I do know a reliable way to get them off David, but I'll be keeping it to myself. I'll tease people with a clue or two though: it uses lateral thought not brute force and it doesnt involve a torque wrench and probe..

Or rubber gloves

A pm would be nice re the removal.

I drove a car 30 miles with one still fitted the night I went out and picked up the wrong key fob. AND I passed a cop car going the other way. All of this in a car that is an exact replica of Solbergs 05 Monte car.

Not for the faint hearted.
