I think you'll find there is a difference between the rolling radius for the two sizes of tyre.
Subject to the offset of your wheels being the same as that of the 18" P1 alloys, then yes, 225's should fit under the arches. I'm aware that you need to use P-Zero's though as they are slightly narrower sidewall-wise.
In the past I've managed to get some excellent advice from the tyre manufacturers themselves. Yokohama were particulary helpful.
