here is some of the info loads on the northern and also the list which you MUST register on if your going """

Well its time for another NBO6 infomation thread !!!

TIMINGS

This year as we have loads to do we are opening the NBO6 at 1030am ##

TRADERS ONLY will be able to get onto the field at 830 to give them time to set up their trade stands ready for the opening at 1030am ###

---------------------------------------------------------------------
CLUB STANDS ONLY will be able to get onto the <hallowed ground > from 9AM
this will give them ample time to set up the stands and get ready for the opening at 1030 am
those cars that will be parking ONLY on the club stands can come and help set up their displays.
Please can you tell the marshalls which club you are with as you enter the field so the marshalls will direct you to the correct part of the field !!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
NO OTHER CARS will be allowed onto the field due to H&S reasons for there will be lots of er...erections (setting up tents) and parking of cars on the various displays dont bother turning up as the Captain will not let you in !!

By 10am all the traders will be ready, the club stands will be perfect and eaglely waiting the many other subarus that will arrive
--------------------------------------------------------------------
ALL OTHER SUBARUS will be allowed on for the start of the NBO6 at 1030
As we all know subarus are never late so hopefully the field will be full by 1107 AM

What I would like to see again is all Subarus from the clubs who are not on the stands and all the Indepentant drivers to assemble at 2 meeting points

NORTH

Scotch corner services
Where Darren and Mrs Darren (TTS) will be greeting you all and assembling you all into the Northen convoy

meeting at Scotch corner services for 9 am -930 am for departure at 948 am

Darren and Mrs Darren will be dressed up for the occasion after the fantastic organisation they did last year and will lead the convoy down to LV
last year we had nearly 100 cars at Scotch corner and part of the fun of the NBO experience s the convoy down to LV

SOUTH

All cars are to assemble at the Meeting point of ferrybridge service station off the A1/M62 junction

Meet time of 900-930: am for departure of around 948 am for the final leg of your journey to the NBO 6

The convoy leader will be appointed once i track him down again !!
The southern convoy will again be competing for the largest convoy to the NBO

------------------------------------------------------------------
So why do we want you to meet at these points ???

As mentioned part of the NBO experience is the convoys where you get to see loads of other subarus on the road and you will meet up with old and new friends alike ,If you not part of a club get out of your car and talk to other owners and remember

Subarus are for life not just xmas .

Also it helps out 15 marshalls led by Gussy <the ringmaster> who with his military precision manages to park up to 300 subarus all lined up to perfection and facing the same direction
You will be directed to the position to park by the marshalls

With a Bigger Arena this year space will be tight and we have to park you all quickly so the show can get underway for 1030 -11am

PLEASE MAKE SURE WHEN YOU HAVE READ THIS INFO THAT YOU ARE ON THE LIST ON SCOOBYNET AS NUMBERS ARE SO CRITICAL FOR PLANNING AND INSURANCE THE LIST CLOSES ON JUNE 3rd ######
If you not on the list you might not get in!!!

ENTRANCE to the NBO6 is again £5 donation (minimum) per car

All proceeds go straight into the charity bucket and are sealed by the charity so
NO CHANGE WILL BE GIVEN UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES

no exceptions -car onto field £5 min donation to charity !!
turn up with a tenner -It goes in the bucket
turn up with a twenty pound note it goes straight into the bucket
NO CHANGE GIVEN as it is a charity event #####
please can you have your money ready as you drive in to pay as there will be many other subarus behind you !!!

Lightwater Valley gives us the field free as it is a charity event so all money donated at the gate goes straght into the charity fund thanks to them for this fantastic gesture again for the 6th year

The collections on the gate will be the fantastic team of

captain
Gaz
Katie
Tracey
Denise

Between the five of them they helped take well over £3000 gate reciepts of every Subaru driver
what we ask is give a couple more ££ s for your passengers many great Subaru owners last year give tens and twentys and last year in total we raised
£6448 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!for mc millan cancer

#####
any one found drivng fast over the grass or donutting will be asked to leave the field imediately and will be banned from the NBO .##
------------------------------------------------------
Be warned the Captain and Gaz have cameras and if anyone drives past them and parks at LV and walks in to the NBO field the car will be photographed and named and shamed on the forums like the 2 Tight wads last year !!
Chris <scooby> Towers (LADS)will be announcing the chosen charity this week and I know it is a great one to support for the NBO committee this year .

At the NBO HQ which is the tent in the middle of the field with the PA system you will be able to purchase your Rafle tickets this year as always there is some fantastic prizes given by our suppliers and various sponsers and contacts again all proceeds go to charity

--------------------------------------------------

At the NBO tent you will be able to collect your voucher for LV for reduced admission for you if you want to visit the theame park this year as always it is
only £10.95 per person from the normal ticket price of £16.95
thanks to LV for this great offer
----------------------------------------------------------------------

LV have toilets and cafes and takeaways along with the LV burger van along with an excellent shopping village to tempt/distract the wifes while you smuggle necessay bits for your scoobys into your cars

-----------------------------------------------------------------

The club stands will be judged between 11-1210 pm
---------------------------------------------------------------
Once again we have got the services of the famous CFM DJ

Martin Reay who for the last 4 years like all NBO committee gives his time free for a great cause ,he is the king of the mike and will keep you all entertained .

We will have some great trade stands and some fantastic club displays and the new show Arena with some great competions which will be announced this week .

Default even more info !!!

Well as it was so popular last year with the new arena and with over 100 scoobies taking part this year we are repeating the

NBO 6 show and shine

this year we will have a BIGGER arena to give more space for the cars and the crowds that watch this
as the NBO concept grows every year we feel this is the future for the final 4 years of the NBO concept

we try to keep it simple so the classes are

best classic starts at 1230

best classic modifed starts at 1245

best newage starts at 100pm

best newage modifed starts at 115 pm

best special editon /non impreza starts at 130pm

best hifi insall starts at 145pm

best ultimate project car starts at 200pm

overall winner starts at 230 pm

prizegiving for all the cars will be at 300pm

prize givingfor the club of the day comp will be at 315pm

raffle will be drawn at 330 pm

that is the plan hopefully we will try to keep to these times but that is the running order

we have assembled 6 of the top subaru judges including Turbo Andy ,all the way from milton keynes for his 5th NBO ,Howie who owns probably the most photograhed subaru in the uK, Robbieben who fetches a wealth of experience to judgeing cars and is in charge of security too !!and Drumperster phil who is a perfectionist in any subaru matters and we have imported 2 judges all the way from bonnie scotland to complete the magnificant 6 and of course we have an administration 'director 'who will stop the judges from dissagreeing and help with the admin to give to the DJ for anouncements .
Martin, Gussy mark <the terzo> and myself might even wander in !!

the times will be announced and also on your programme and you must drive onto the arena at the given times
as we all know subarus are never late

we identified a couple of problems last year as the cars were such headturners that the judges couldn't get near some cars due to the crowds so this year we have a drivers <pen./sin bin>

when you park your car up you MUST GO INTO THE PEN/SIN BIN for a few minutes to the judges have made a decision then you will be able to go back to your cars and anyone who is watching can go into the arena for a couple of minutes to ogle over these fine specimans of motors

anyone hanging around their cars will be desqualified unless the judges want to ask a percific question when judgeing .
-------------------------------------------------------

classes are straightforward

classic /newage standard

basically always the lowest turnout for these classes and the rules are simple

3 modifications are OK we accept most subaru owners from new changed the wheels ,possibly the spolier and of course ditched the twinshooter (if anyone can remmber one) for a proper exhaust
any more mods the judges might not favour it and recomend a mofidied class.
----------------------------------------------------------
a new class has been added with the special editons and that is non impreza so if you have a nice legacy ,forrester or even a justy or pickup we would love to see you wuth the 22B,P1, WR1,RB5s etc etc
---------------------------------------------------------------
best classic/newage modified are always very well attended and the crowds realy get wild then !!!

best car install last year we did it for the first time and was overwelmed with it and again really pulled in the crowds

hence the new class............................................. ......for this year##

after much thought and delibration and weeks of discussion over this one we are going for the ......

ultimate project/modified car
if you have got the *****/chq book/totall fanatical wildest subaru well this is the class for you

we found that we had so many really well modified cars that we wanted to give others a chance hence normal modifed and super modified

Im not sure and will be nervous who competes in this and how many of you but there will be lots of tropheys and possibly the biggest crowds for this class so if you have converted a classic into a new age or vice versus or put a scooby on steroids ,sold you house to pay for more mods or just live, dream and drive the ultimate subaru this is the class for you this is not for shy rewarding types
------------------------------------------------------------

So the winner and runner up is picked in every class

they go into the final competion for the car of the day and you will see the finest subarus in the uk in one section

and the NBO committe really looks forward to this one !!

and of course we dont forget our charity which is the reason we do the NBO
with 80-100 cars competing in the arena we are asking for a small donation 50p-£1 for the classes as with the money doubled thanks to Chris deal with BAE we have a great chance of beating last years record of £6448 """

Look forward to seeing you in the hallowed arena
