Assuming your WRX engine is from a newage????
Injectors - £150???
Turbo - £300 2nd hand (est)
Fuel pump (if yours is old) - £80
Re-map of some description is required - £600+
Other bits will be required i guess.
350+ is gonna bring your gearbox into question and towards 400 is pushing the internals.

300 would be safer - but not necessarily safe. I've seen gearboxes let go at this level. I ran towards 320 in my Classic for 25k and it's done another 8k since i sold it with no issues - different car and a different driver might not have got past 1k without lunching sommat
Mods first and then map

gearboxes seem a bit "luck of the draw" speaking to different people.
however i can honestly say that i've had my car for 2.5 years (35k) and all i've just recently had to do was replace the 3rd gear syncro.
luckily i've got an import, so was already blessed with a TD05, so upgrade path for me went this way recently:-
Fuel Pump
Simtek Ecu with ALS with temporary safe map
Injectors
Turbo porting (to stop boost creep)
Hybrid Front mount
550 Injectors + plug convertors
+ some other technical bits (which was over my head).
was kicking out 275bhp at 0.8 prior to mods
now running a safe 1.3 bar (not tested bhp again yet)
however the car now feels like 5th gear is 4th gear in terms of pulling power!!
warning:- its all about finding a happy medium with your car.
i can quite honestly say i'm 100% happy where i am and would probably just get the map tweaked a bit to suit the warmer weather (all this work was winter work)
a lot of people chase bhp figures and i have learned from many people this is not the way to go.
i was lucky enough to be driving the car while "live mapping" and can appreciate what changes small tweaks to the map produce (in terms of both power, drivability and indeed economy)
I made these decisions due to the following:-
a) a few hot hatches were starting to keep up with me
b) i always felt i was not getting enough potential power from the car
c) i have had 2 years of getting "used" to the power and characteristics of the car)
d) i could afford to do it at the time...
any further increase in power would require uprated internals (to be safe) and uprated gearbox (PPG or 6 Speed with the increased weight)
So really i'm at a comfortable point and received good value for money, or bangs for bucks to be here with it.
All my power mods and mapping were carried out by Mocom Racing, which i would not hesitate for one minute in recommending.
I would Guesstimate i'm running around 320-330 bhp, but on a lightweight import the the improved torque and power range the map provides, is perfect for me.
