And thought i would just ask for some advice the big ends have just gone on my 95 wrx and was just woundering if its me just going straight for the 2.5 bottom end or just repair the 2ltr bottom end or replace. if so any help with sourcing a replacement would be a great help.

as for my car it has a hks filter, 3inch decat, f/m intercooler, td05 16g turbo.

Depends what supporting mods you want to do. Best advice would be a "regular" 2.5 bottom end coupled with a Power FC or other ECU, properly mapped. Do you want more than 300/300?

well im looking for around 340bhp and a shed load more of bottom end torque. As i feel the engine is slugish when going up steep hills where i live. where would be the best place to source a 2.5 bottom end at a reasonable price. I was thinking about getting a mappabel piggy back for the standard ecu not sure though?
cheers for the help guys

ej257
vf34/35
simtek ecu
550cc injectors

that would be good for 340-360 bhp with 380-400 lbs/ft torque

then worry about your gearbox/clutch
