Default Please help

Hi. A friend of mine has got a mk3 golf gti 8valve. When the car gets hot, i.e 60deg on the oil temp gauge it cuts out? Weve changed the usual, plugs, leads, fuel pump relay, ecu relay, ecu has been tested and come back as being okay. No error codes on the diagnostic. Engine speed sensor has been replaced, hall sender unit has been replaced, the distributar cap has been changed, engine coolant sensor has been changed. We are at a dead end. Although im thinking maybe oil temp sensor???? Please help its driving my mate mad.

Regards Dan.

You'll probably get a shooing for this as it's not Scooby related but hey. Does it restart or how long do you need to leave it before it starts back up?

Have you tried removing the throttle body and cleaning it, also was the engine speed sensor new/genuine?

Take the throttle body off completly and clean the inside of the "venturi" where the throttle flap is completly, four 5mm allen bolts I think 2x coolant hoses and a throttle cable it is off. Also disconnect the battery overnight to clear all the adaption values. Let me know if it sorts it.
