If you're that worried then don't part with any money. Get someone to do a credit check. If you haven't parted with anything other than a deposit then don't worry - if like us you parted with more than £12K and the guy went belly up and you still didn't have your car... then suggest you worry - alot....
If it's getting a Scooby you're worring about - don't, they are remarkable cars, and nowadays things have changed and you do not have to have your car serviced by the garage that issued the warranty...
Ring the AA I think they provide a 'check it out service'
stop worrying
once you get behind the wheel of that car you will never ever ever look back.

David Hendry are pretty well known - they supplied an early Jap Spec Bug Eye STi for Autocar to test. See 14th Feb 2001 issue, page 22 and front cover. You should be OK, unless anyone else out there has any horror stories.....

Contact the Swindon Trading Standards at the Council - they know about EVERY dodgy company in the area they operate in - and they are amazingly helpful ...... they will put your mind at ease, or otherwise!
I used the Trading Standards in Hackney to check on a company I had ordered a Dishwasher part from (when the part didnt turn up) - they said they are a top company - low and behold the part arrived!!
Worth a call mate

David Hendry aren't the cheapest, but they seem to know what they are talking about and it's very unlikely they are trying to pull a fast one... Even Bob Rawle has his car serviced there.
If you've not parted with any $$$ yet give scoobynet sponsor Litchfield Imports a call (see banner ad or www.litimports.co.uk) as they are recommended by loads on the BBS and offer reasonable prices.
