I'm a tit!
'lo
A bit of advice needed really. After moving house i've lost my spare key and on Friday, yup you guessed it, i managed to lose the only key to my scoob!.
Is there any way i can get one made from the VIN number? If so who would i have to contact.
Yup i know i'm a tit but i've turned my new place over looking for the spare, and i know it will show up just as soon as i've sorted a replacement!
I barely use the scoob anymore i cycle to work and i'm insured on the mrs' Punto so its not a matter of desperation.

can you not go buy a new barrel lock set up from a breaker? then if needs be get a specialist to swap them over? just asking as lots of the imports didnt have alarms/immobilizers as standard so the aftermarket stuff people had fitted would be easier to reset etc.

At least no-one's going to be able to break into your house, grab the keys and steal your scooby like some other folks on here!

Bad news mate.
I doubt if you can get one made up from the logbbok or VIN, very unlikely.
Your only option is to get into the car somehow, smashed window probably, then remove one of the locks, door for instance. A good locksmith can make a key from the lock and that should work in your ignition.
Or source a new set of locks, but you will have trouble removing the ignition barrell without a key.
Or check your insurance policy, they sometimes have options for lost keys. They replace all the locks for a small excess.
