hi all
finally found a good sti 04 plate with 40k on the clock
its as good as new and boy does it put a smile on my face
im happy as larry with it just wanted to no how to check if it has the prodrive kit on it??
i spoke to the garage where he bought it from and they told me it has!! but there is no paperwork with it and the owner didnt know it had it
so maybe the garage just got mixed up with another car but i would like to find out either way

Welcome to scooby ownership it'll cost you a furtune but you'll enjoy every minute. Look at the back box, it will have prodrive on it. The prodrive certificate would be good and add value to your car.

you can email or phone prodrive with the chassis and reg number to find out if it has ppp fitted.

Its meant to have an uprated fuel pump (although not all were fitted with them) and a blue pipe onto the turbo as Im aware......I hate to say it, but a genuine Prodrive sti should have the certificate with it, especially if its from a decent garage etc.

The backbox is a good giveaway but without having it confirmed by the cert or by prodrive themselves...id hold fire tbh.....just do some checks.

 

look for this under the turbo heat shield...



It's the heat wrapped ppp sports cat.
The intercooler pipe will be red not blue. As said earlier contact prodrive as they will know the chassis number if it's been fitted by a subaru dealer.
They will post you a new certificate if needed.
