Default Just telling you what they told me!!

I was at my main dealer this week, getting a new MAF (again ), for my MY00.

The guy asked me what air filter I was running, I replied standard box with non-oily filter.

He reckoned that oiled filters weren't necessarily the problem, instead, he thought, from his experience, that the non standard filters which allow better airflow go beyond the limits of the MAF and that is what can cause a failure.

Still doesn't why mine is sh@gged again after less than 10,000 miles!

Lets face it, they are delicate little buggers and some of us just have to get used to changing them regularly, at just under £95 inc VAT from a main dealer it could be worse!

Are you sure this is the right part? The US don't get turbo models so it might be wrong (unless the part number's the same).
